Kate McKillop BCA AMHSW is a private practice Mental Health Clinician and Psychotherapist with a background in clinical social work and certified to practice in the work of Dr Brené Brown (USA) and EMDR Therapy. As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AASW), Kate is a medicare provider for individual counselling and psychotherapy in Brunswick. She supports adults in the areas of trauma recovery, grief and loss, eating disorders, adjustment and relationship issues. Kate also helps people manage stress and overcome depression and anxiety.
Kate is qualified to practice eight types of psychotherapy and is certified in the resilience work of Brené Brown. Kate has trained in developmental psychiatry, worked in acute mental health settings and has extensive experience in teaching the benefits of mindfulness and mind-body connection. Her professional experience has included clinical roles at The Royal Children's Hospital, Eastern Health, Headspace and CanTeen Australia. Kate is also a Yoga Teacher and regularly facilitates Brené Brown's workshops in Melbourne.
