The approaches in evidence-based therapy will be discussed and planned collaboratively with you from the first session and may include:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps you identify unhelpful thoughts and the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviour
- EMDR Therapy, a highly effective, evidence-based psychological treatment recommended by the World Health Organization for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is also useful in overcoming adverse life events such as loss, relationship issues and adjustment to significant change.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an approach that teaches psychological skills to deal with painful thoughts and feelings effectively whilst also helping you to find clarity and meaning in life.
- Psycho-education including The Daring Way™ method from Dr. Brené Brown, which teaches you to build resilience and bravery using inspiring tools adaptable for daily life.
